East Coast Iron Club (ECIC) is an annual meeting for researchers interested in iron metabolism. ECIC has met every year since 1975 at various locations on the East Coast (see History). This one-day meeting is based on lively discussion and exchange of ideas and data. As an informal meeting, there are no slides or overheads, and all shared data are considered confidential. Post-doctoral research fellows and graduate students are particularly encouraged to attend.
East Coast Iron Club 2010 will be held on Friday, October 29th, at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio [directions | airport information]. Dr Bryan Mackenzie will serve as Local Organizer.

Please contact the ECIC Chair, Dr Jamie Collins (University of Florida), if you plan on attending. Please also indicate whether you would be interested in chairing a discussion on a particular iron-related topic.
